Well, this was certainly a nice surprise!

Check it out!
Ladies and gentlemen,
I am so proud to announce that my directorial debut “The Spell Book” is finally available for viewing on the world wide web! (See below!)
“The Spell Book” is a no budget supernatural comedy that debuted last year at the 2012 Austin Film Festival. It tells the story of three friends forced to confront evil in the form of a demon-possessed teddy bear after opening an ancient spell book.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor has always been a hero of mine. I’ve admired his ‘do-it-yourself’, uncompromising (and combative if you ask his former record company) approach to producing music and fulfilling his personal vision. These traits are ones I’ve tried to emulate with my filmmaking.
After putting NIN on the shelf, Trent got married and formed a new band with his wife called ‘How to Destroy Angels’. After releasing an EP a couple of years ago, HtDA are back with a brand new music video called ‘Ice Age’ directed by John Hillcoat (the man who brought us the film “Lawless”)
While the song is pretty good (more of a solid B-side) and the video is a simple performance piece, the cinematography is gorgeous and worth a watch for that alone.
